The Dog Days of Summer!

Well, I figured Kelli would have me write something at some point, but I didn't know it was going to be this soon. Geeze, I hope she isn't getting lazy at this blog thing already! That's my job in the family.

Well here I am, Max, Brett and Kelli's oldest dog.  I once belonged to Kelli's parents, Rob and Julie, but they gave me up! I still hold that against them and pee on everything in sight whenever I am at their house. Who's laughing now Jules? You don't even know half of the places I've lifted my leg!
This is me, Max!
I am a 9 year old Shih-tzu, and boy do I cause a lot of trouble! But not as much trouble as my little brother Marty - what a spitfire! He came into the picture about two years ago when mom took advantage of Dad being very tired after a weekend guys trip and he just said yes so he could go home and go to bed! Well she didn't mean to take advantage of him, but that is sure how he tells the story! Brett may act tough at times but he's warmed up to us quite a bit. I've even grown to love him, except that he has this friend Jared who tries to kick me every time he comes over. One of these days, when Jared is least expecting it, I will attack.  I suggest he sleep with one eye open when he's on our couch in the basement!

Anyway, while most my days are consumed with eating, drinking and sleeping and the occasional wrestle match with Marty, I had quite the eventful weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Knight's! (And I'm not just talking about all the pottying in their house I did!)

Mom and Dad had a wedding in Omaha, so we all loaded up the Altima and assumed our positions....Dad driving, Mom laying in the back with Marty and I laying all around her!

A typical ride to and from Omaha!

G&G Knight have four dogs that we get to play with every time we come to visit! While I have no interest in making new friends, Marty is usually in 7th Heaven.  Usually Uncle Robbie and Jess will bring their three dogs over, Ollie, Tilly and Graham, and we have quite the petting zoo! We didn't get to see them this trip, while it didn't bother me, Marty was sure bummed! He loves to play with Ollie!

Here are 5 of the 6 of us (Moose, Maggie, Buster, Marty and myself).
Not Pictured: Riley - He didn't bother showing up for the picture. He said he was having a bad hair day.

Kel and Brett before their wedding-What good looking parents!
Our weekend consisted of boating, swimming and lounging in the sun.  I may be fat, but I still love to sunbathe! Below are some pictures of us in the pool this weekend!
There I am, relaxing on my raft! Life doesn't get much better!
Marty didn't enjoy the water at all. In fact he hid from Mom and Dad the rest of the day! What a baby!

Ahhh, the life!

Hey look its Grandpa with Moose and Maggie! He's got almost as much hair on his chest as the Golden's!
As you can see, we had quite the eventful weekend! I was so tired from our trip that I really haven't moved much the last couple of days, not even to go to the bathroom! Marty on the other hand is back to his self, running laps around the house and pottying in the hallway!

Have a great weekend!
